We were once three
Just how we liked it to be
We loved it when our family grew
We didn’t mind adding one to the crew
The four of us had so much fun
On a rowing boat in the sun
The news of a grandchild was greeted with joy
Is it a girl or is it a boy?
The news of a girl made him so happy
He loved her with all his heart but never changed a nappy
The memories we have will always live on
The time has passed so quickly since he has gone
He watches over us now with happiness and joy
His soul lives on within our little boy
His presence and laughter we will never forget
In heaven he is no doubt having a drink and a bet
Each day he is a terrible miss
I wish he was here for one last kiss

Evie
You were his stars his moon
His morning sunrise
While your smile would leave him
Free from fear and pain
With you safe in his arms
He’d bend and kiss you
Cos’ of you his loving heart
Danced in the rain
